Louisville Switching has once again been named as a Kalmar Ottawa Premier Partner Dealer. We were first named a Premier Partner Dealer in 2014 and have been recognized as such 3 times out of the last 4 years.

We are incredibly humbled to be recognized as a Premier Partner dealer along with a few of our peers and are proud to be a part of the larger Kalmar Ottawa family! They continuously lead the industry to new heights and have recently announced a fully electric Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractor.

Louisville Switching has the capability to customize Ottawa T2 yard trucks in numerous ways! On the inside, you can choose to add an AM/FM radio, an air conditioning system, deluxe air ride seats and a number of other deluxe features. On the outside, you can decide if you want heated mirrors, moto-mirrors, side door, cab guards, window guards, flexible fenders, engine upgrades and perhaps the most exciting customization option is choosing your truck's paint color. You can customize the color to match your company colors.

Monu Shinchoury dedicated two years to Louisville Switching as our Stock Clerk and worked to keep our truck parts stocked and organized. Day to day, she shelved stock orders, shipped out parts, took parts to the shop, and received the parts in the warehouse. It's been a bittersweet time at Louisville Switching the past couple of week's as we have celebrated Monu as she begins a new position.

As you know, we consider ourselves pretty big foodies and we always look forward to trying all the new restaurants that pop up in Louisville. But, we also have a few local staples we keep going back to. One of those is Varanese! Another one is La Chasse, which we wrote about in February when we had the privilege of interviewing the owner, Isaac Fox

We recently spoke with John Varanese, owner of Varanese and River House, two Louisville (and Louisville Switching) favorites! Read about the history, menus, and more of these two fantastic restaurants below.

We're still reflecting on our recent open house where we had several industry associations come out to set up a table, hand out materials on their business, and network with attendees. We are thankful for all of these connections we have and appreciate the time they took time to attend and set up a table to network with others at our open house.

Yesterday, we posted a recap of our Open House that we hosted at our facility on March 14th. If you weren't able to make it, catch up here to see what you missed. As mentioned in that recap, we intentionally plan our open house to fall a week before the Mid-America Truck Show (MATS) and today we recap the event if you also were not able to attend the show.

What You Missed At Our 2018 Open House

Our 2018 Open House was a few weeks ago on March 14th. We had a great turnout, great food, and got to network with industry experts. This was our fourth annual open house and we greatly appreciate all those who came out despite the frigid temperature!

Customers, partners, vendors, and many others in the trucking industry were present. We had a display of an Ottawa truck going through an entire refurbishment. Much of the inside was replaced with all new equipment and the cabin got a much-needed update as well with a new driver's seat that was installed.

Louisville Switching's Open House: What You Missed

Mike Twitty, Kalmar Ottawa Regional Manager for the Southeast U.S., Ryan Sipple, Kalmar Ottawa Area Part Sales, and Scott Binzer, Account Executive at Cummins Sales and Service were present to meet and network with all who came out. Other experts in the industry, like Melissa Zink with the Kentucky Trucking Association, were also there to meet everyone and network as well.
