Yesterday, we posted a recap of our Open House that we hosted at our facility on March 14th. If you weren't able to make it, catch up here to see what you missed. As mentioned in that recap, we intentionally plan our open house to fall a week before the Mid-America Truck Show (MATS) and today we recap the event if you also were not able to attend the show.

Highlights from MATS 2018

Every March for the past four years we have planned our annual open house to happen before the MATS to give everyone a chance to see the latest Kalmar Ottawa available in a more relaxed setting than the biggest heavy-duty trucking event in the world! MATS was March 22nd-24th at the Kentucky Expo Center and below are some of the highlights and what we most enjoyed.

At the conclusion of the event, one of the producers, Toby Young, said, "As the pace of innovation in trucking accelerates and technology impacts every aspect of the industry, MATS will always evolve to meet the needs of its supporters. With your continued guidance, MATS will remain the platform of choice for the heavy-duty trucking industry and help you attain new heights of success in the business of trucking."

Many attendees enjoyed seminars and continuing education sessions on topics like "How to Run Your Business: Common Challenges and Solutions" where Brent Hutto from Truckstop.com and Kevin Rutherford from Let's Truck discussed ways owners of trucking businesses can reach their goals.

One of our favorite parts of MATS is that it's not all business. While we love networking and greatly value it as a business development tool, there are always many fun aspects of the exhibit. Kelli Pickler was the headliner for the MATS free concert and ONE20 sponsored the MATS Beer Garden for the 3rd year in a row.

Perhaps our favorite thing from this year's show was seeing the incredible technology being used in the trucking industry as seen below. If you missed out this year, we hope you'll be able to make it next year. Connect with Don on LinkedIn to keep up with all opportunities like this and more.
