Ottawa has been listening to their customers and made some improvements to the brand new T2 model based on the feedback. At the 2016 Mid America Truck Show, Don Robinson took a second to talk about the new features of the Ottawa T2. We were able to get a video of him explaining the new features from inside the cab. Feel free to scan through the list of new features and watch the video of Don explaining them below.

New Features of the Ottawa T2:

  • More dash space in the cab
  • A mounting bracket to hold a yard management system monitor
  • Double the air volume to defrost, heat and cool the cab faster
  • A cupholder
  • A new Bose Ride® system
  • Certified rollover protection system

With the new mounting bracket to hold the yard management system, it is easier for the driver to check the screen to see where he needs to go. Sometimes drivers will try to put the system up over the dash or hold it in their hand, which can partially block the driver's view or be distracting.

With a new air conditioning system, the time it takes to defrost the windows on the truck or cool or heat the cab is cut in half!

The new Bose Ride® seat allows the drivers to experience a smoother and more comfortable ride whether they are bobtailing or carrying an empty or loaded trailer. It's independent of from the rest of the truck.

The Ottawa terminal tractor is the only terminal tractor that has a certified rollover protection system. The structure of the truck frames the driver in a steel cage. In the event of a rollover, the driver would be given a lot more protection than in any of the other terminal tractors in the industry.
