Barbara_Brian-1At Louisville Switching, we pride ourselves on bringing in the best people, and today's spotlight will focus on Barb, the newest edition to our Louisville Switching family. Barbara Brian is our new Inventory Controller who brings 21 years of valuable experience to our company. She has been with us since last April, and we are so happy to have her! You can read through our conversation below to learn more about Barbara and her role here.

What do you do for Louisville Switching on a daily basis?

I do all of the buying, and I oversee all of the parts coming in and going out of the warehouse. I rarely deal with the whole vehicle. I deal with the individual parts that go into it.

Tell us how you got to where you are today, working at Louisville Switching?

I started out with the Apparel Group and worked there for 21 years. I learned from them about inventory control and how to manage stock. From there I went to work at Regional Airline and did their inventory.

One of my previous employers where I was inventory control manager worked with Mr. Troutt who ended up here at Louisville Switching. When she heard about the open position, she recommended me for the job. I jumped at the chance to work for Mr. Troutt again. He's a great boss, and I have a great deal of respect for him.

What's your favorite part of your job?

The friendly atmosphere and the fact that the owners are very appreciative of the work that's done here. I always feel like I am valued and that my work is valued.

What do you do in your spare time?

I'm afraid I'm a sedentary person. I like reading and watching movies and doing puzzles. And I love going to the theatre. White Christmas was the last play I saw.

What is your all-time favorite play?

It's kind of a tie between Mama Mia and Wicked.

We hope you enjoyed hearing a little bit about Barbara today. Her hard work and dedication mirror the principles we want our company to be known for. We hope you can see that in us like we can see it in Barbara.
