Below you will find what we are looking for in a Diesel Mechanic for Louisville Switching:

• A/C and Cummins certification (this can be acquired after employment begins).
• CDL is a bonus but isn’t required
• Welding and Torching skills
• Knowledge of air tools, precision measuring instruments, laptops, diagnostic software, basic hand tools, cranes and rigging equipment – on the job training can be provided as needed.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with company policies and procedures and ensuring that equipment and materials are used properly.
• Follow contamination control as outlined in company guidelines.
• Complete DOT Physical and submit to routine drug testing.
• Provide 24-hour on call service for customers on a weekly rotating basis.
• Ability to identify, remove, disassemble, assemble, install and test parts and components
• Ability to troubleshoot analyze problems and make repairs to hydraulic, pneumatic and A/C Systems
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with customers; listen intently and respond to questions with clarity and remain calm under pressure and in negative situations.
• Physical demands include the ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel crouch and swing arms. You may be required to lift and place parts weighing up to 85 lbs.
