Yard truckChris Troutt was recently in Atlanta, Georgia working with a client. Chris loves talking with the drivers of the yard trucks to get their input on what they think of Ottawa. The other thing Chris loves to do when he's talking with the drivers is to ask if he can see inside the cab. This one particular driver agreed and showed Chris the cab of his Ottawa. It was as clean as a brand new yard truck. Chris asked him how he kept it so clean and the driver said, "I spend 12 hours a day  inside this truck and I want to make sure I keep it clean. It is my office."

When you take care of what you have it will last longer. The driver went on to tell Chris, "I wish I had an Ottawa yard truck 20 years ago. My body would be in better shape." Ottawa was the first to have the rear platform entry to help eliminate climbing up and down out of the cab. Ottawa was the first to engineer a truck that would lift the trailers by hydraulics. This prevents the most common injuries yard switchers have, and that is shoulder and arm injuries from cranking the legs up on the trailers. Now they can lift the trailer without having to crank the legs, they do not have to climb in and out of the cab, and they can quickly connect the lines to the trailer.

Ottawa Yard Truck Benefits

Efficiency - An Ottawa Yard Truck can move three trailers in the time it takes a semi-truck to move one.

Safety - Drivers will have fewer injuries, less time off because of injuries, and will have longer careers.

Best Built - Ottawa is the best, longest lasting yard truck in the business. They have manufactured twice the number of yard trucks than all of their competitors combined.
