We strive to go above and beyond to ensure each customer receives prompt service and individualized care for their needs. We desire to exceed our customers' highest expectations and we go about that in several ways.

At Louisville Switching we believe if we invest in our product, that will lead to added value for our customers. Because we believe in the value of our products, we take extra steps to become more educated about them and pass that knowledge on to our customers. As a Kalmar/Ottawa and Cummins Dealer we receive product updates regularly from those companies. Representatives from those businesses also visit our facility regularly to assure that everyone is following best practices for their products. Our personnel and management team receive ongoing training and updates from the Kalmar/Ottawa factory representatives which are passed along to the customer. All of these practices combine to create an added benefit for the customer and greater longevity of equipment.

We also believe in our customer. Because Louisville Switching was once a spotting service, we understand the business and the challenges associated with it from an end user's perspective and a dealer's perspective. Not many dealers can say they have walked in the shoes of their customers, but we have. The service methods we have adopted were developed for our own use when we operated as a spotting service and some of those same practices are utilized in our practices of serving the end user today. We also remain in constant interaction with both Kalmar/Ottawa and Cummins to ensure that we are up to speed on the latest industry developments and technology so that we can pass those updates on to you, our customer.

Keeping that knowledge fresh in our service department is also key in maintaining excellent customer service. Our mechanics are given intense on-the-job training with our seasoned and experienced mechanics. This training involves field service with an experienced colleague as well as in-shop training under the watchful eye of Service Manager, Chuck Duggins. After a successful demonstration of their ability to absorb the vast amounts of knowledge presented to them, they are given formal training for their Kalmar/Ottawa and Cummins certification. As a regular practice, Louisville Switching emphasizes staying safe as one of its continuous training objectives, along with staying hydrated when it's hot and protecting against frost bite in the winter.
