We sat down with our Sales and Leasing Manager, Chris Troutt, to discuss the Ottawa Yard Truck Certification we offer at Louisville Switching. This certification is necessary and important for any prospect/current yard truck drivers to be able to stay up-to-date on current regulations, training protocols, and driving tactics that drivers should be aware of before getting on the road. 

Summer is the season of outdoor fun with family and friends- pool parties, cookouts, and baseball games galore. But the other part of the season that can be less than fun is the heat that accompanies summer. Louisville Switching wants to give you all of our top tips and recommendations for keeping your yard truck in the best condition this summer season. Our main priority and goal is keeping drivers safe and knowledgeable on and in their yard trucks. We hope this blog will act as a guide to summer truck safety. 

In 2018, we introduced more Ottawa 2T DOT units to our fleet - and they went fast! In the new year, we have upgraded and added even more trucks to our stock and we are eager to share all about them. 

The new acquisition will allow MH Equipment and Louisville Switching Services, Inc. to expand its customer base, product offering and service capabilities in the Kentuckiana material handling market. 

At Louisville Switching, we offer a parts search feature available for customer use on our site. With this feature, you can search for any part by the part name or number to see if we offer the specific one you are needing in our Parts Department. Our warehouse is stocked with thousands of parts that ready to be shipped to you through next-day air- because we know you need to get your parts quickly. Luckily, we have a UPS hub right down the road from our Louisville headquarters that makes it easy to get you your parts when you need them. Today we want to share a hidden gem that is built into our site- the parts search feature, and why and how you can use it to ease the process of acquiring your needed parts. 

Louisville Switching will not be exhibiting at the annual Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) this year.  We are taking a break this year to see how the show evolves with the changing landscape of truck shows. This year's show is scheduled for March 28-30, 2019 at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) located on 937 Phillips Lane in Louisville, Kentucky. We are honored to be a part of the trucking, logistics and warehousing industry.  

It is with much gratitude and celebration that we want to wish our longtime partner in business, Mike Twitty, congrats on his retirement! Mike has served as the Southeast Regional Sales Manager for Kalmar Ottawa for 25 years. Mike has been a tremendous partner, mentor, and friend to us and we wanted to take a minute to congratulate him on his retirement. Since the start of Louisville Switching's partnership with Kalmar Ottawa, Mike has been our go-to for everything from sales, training, technical advice and more. We had an opportunity to talk with Mike and hear a little bit about what has influenced him in business over the years and what he is looking forward to in his retirement.
