Just last week, Kalmar/Ottawa delivered its 60,000th tractor to Averitt Express in Cookeville, TN. Louisville Switching sends a heartfelt congratulations to Kalmar/Ottawa on this achievement!

During the production of the T2 models, Ottawa made several improvements for comfort and efficiency:

• Improved corrosion resistance
• Spacious cab with improved visibility and wider door
• Rollover protection as standard
• Redesigned front suspension
• Improved lift mechanism
• Under-utilized side-door eliminated

Driver comfort is improved on this edition of the T2. With an insulated cab cap and wider and deeper cab, Ottawa also included a cup holder, coat hook and a YMS dashboard mount for additional comforts.

David Wood, vice president for sales and marketing in the Americas, said Ottawa produced its 50,000th tractor in 2011, and that the redesigned factory can turn out 15 to 20 units per day.
