Rob Williams is our Safety Manager at Louisville Switching. Rob is a team player and always does all that he can to ensure success for everyone, and we love that he is here working with us. To learn more about Rob, read through his answers to the questions below.

What do you do for Louisville Switching on a daily basis?

I'm responsible for managing the environmental health and safety of all employees. My responsibilities include working with processes and records and systems required to ensure the safety of multiple locations. I also monitor and maintain a safe place to work in and make sure we are in compliance with all regulatory safety requirements, like those from OSHA, state and federal laws and other safety regulations. I am responsible for safety and building security as well emergency preparedness and our business continuation plan. I oversee and drive implementation of policies and programs to improve the organization's environmental and safety performance. Lastly, I ensure compliance with current and future regulations and standards, and protect the company's reputation.

Tell us how you got where you are today, working at Louisville Switching?

Chris Troutt is the Sales and Leasing Manager at Louisville Switching. I have known Chris and his father, Butch, for a long time. They needed someone to inspect the Ottawa Trucks to send to customers, so my first job was making sure the trucks were clean and ready to go. After that I moved up to Parts Manager, and just last year I took the position of Safety Manager.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My position is new for Louisville Switching and the best part of my job is to make sure everyone stays safe and goes home at the end of the day. It's really amazing that Mr. Robinson cares about every employee that works for Louisville Switching.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my wife, Pam, even if it's just sitting down and watching some cooking shows or taking a drive. I also spend a lot of time with my grandchildren, going to horse shows and watching them compete.

UK or UofL?

I personally like UK, but I will cheer for both teams as long as they are not playing each other.
